Mid- July Book Picks for week of July 22nd

36423957New Book Review:  “If Paris is France…” This book is Echo Moon by Laura Spinella. What an unusual story, but I really enjoyed it. Peter St. John is something like a ghost whisperer, but what happens when the past collides with the present. One of my favorite parts is when a young man writes, “My dear Esme, If Paris is France, You are my World.” This quote is essential to the theme of the story, and what a beautiful phrase. It is a love story, but it’s more than that. It’s also a mystery and a murder. I want to read more by this author Spinella. Check it out for an intriguing read!

Second Book Review: This is a thriller The Memory Game by Nicci French as only she can do it. It begins with a young woman who is an architect who in the process of beginning a groundbreaking unearths a skeleton of her best friend who went missing years ago. That’s where the mystery begins, she was killed, but who killed her, and why? I don’t want to give away too much of what happens, but let’s just say it involves the woman’s memories and what she remembers. What I like most about French’s book is the beautiful she uses in it.It’s a great read, and I highly recommend it.

Third Review: A Destined Design. This book is Fractal Flames: Destiny by John Pirillo. This is not the first Fractal Flames book I’ve read, but I do think it may be my favorite! Every design intricate and breathtaking. Whether you just want to read it to relax or to do as I do, and see what figures and shapes may be in this artwork, I know you’ll enjoy this book. Four of my very favorite pieces are location 58, 63, 69, and 99. Check this out for a wonderful experience! 39952931
John Pirillo also has a group Fractal Flames Group on FB where you can view and enjoy more of his fractal art pieces.
Fourth Review: Was There A Pact? This book is The Pact by Jodi Picoult. I really enjoyed this book! Jodi Picoult is not afraid to tackle the tough issues in her books, and this one deals with the tragedy of teen suicide. The main characters are Emily and Chris. They grew up next-door neighbors and friends, but in high school that grew into love. But it’s more than just that, it also deals with relationships and how the dynamics can change due to an event like this. This book is so good, I may just read it again. Check it out, and then I’m sure you’ll want to read more of Picoult’s books.
